I al ready posted about the kded crash on logout/restart shutdown.. and I guess this cause related to the starting of DBUS service... which state:
User 'gdm' not found... during the opensuse 10.3 start-up
This should not cause a crash, this is bug 299848. I think you should file a separate bug about the kded crash if you haven't already. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The patch from http://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=96900&action=view is good to go. It will be committed to GTK+ upstream shortly; we should definitely use it for our package.
What to do with this.. sorry but I'm totally zero on coding -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Confirmed for the latest update to Firefox 2.0.0.8
Print preview quits the application without error message and does not give the option to continue the session from last time when re-opening firefox. Somebody please assign this bug.
Oops, we should have been more clear. You will need to update your gtk2 package once it is available (Mike, what's the head of the RPM's ChangeLog?). This is a bug in gtk2, not in Firefox. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The problem still exists. Yeah Federico is right is a GTK2 bug the GTK2-2.12.0.6 didn't fix the bug yet.
IIUC the relevant Gnome bug is http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482531 -- ATM its status is NEW. It mentions bug URLs from Fedora, Mandriva and launchpad.net but not from SuSE. Isn't it a bit early to label this one as FIXED? AFAIK this bug is _not_ fixed yet (even if there exists a patch which will hopefully be applied in a not too far future). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The patch is in comment #4. Federico reviewed it and it solves the problem, so we've submitted an update. Generally the process is to mark the bug fixed when its submitted for build by development because there is nothing more for us to do. The "swamp" id tracks the release of the patch. Unfortunately the swamp id status is not currently public. Closing again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Ah yes, I see it now.

Ah I see. I'm more accustomed to systems where the bug isn't marked FIXED until the patch has landed and at least one downloadable build (usually an "hourly" build, not a general-consumption release) has been produced with the fix. Too bad that swamp status (whatever it is) isn't visible, at least not for me.
Closing again.

Re-open until a public patch released
Ron, in view of comment #31, I feel that this is pointless. Someone had better find a way to have the Gnome guys patch their libraries; but the way to do it is probably not by whining on /their/ bug. I don't know what to do. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The problem is that the gnome team is not responsible for actually syncing it to the public, all we can do is wait for the maintenance team to push it through. Coolo, what is the hold up with this shipping this patch? The planned release date seems to be Dec 1 currently. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The new patch which claims it fixes the Firefox print preview failed.
How does it fail? Does it fail to apply, or does it not fix the problem? Also, which patch? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Ahah! Gooood catch. It came from the Gnome Build Service repository:
