From the logs:
Couldn't load map: /usr/share/YaST2/theme/current/worldmap/worldmap.jpg AFAIS there were changes to the yast2-theme package that could explain the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

What exactly are you testing with? yast2-branding-openSUSE is installed when I installed openSUSE-Factory-DVD-Build0117-i586.iso (GNOME desktop). The map is also there.
I made my chroot using `zypper in --root', then copied to real filesystem and now I'm booting it directly from Grub2 as alternative to my Gentoo. (In reply to comment #5)
I guess this was the unusual installation method involving zypper and a chroot.
Tomas, please describe, or ideally automate ;-) a way to reproduce it, so that we don't waste time on fixing completely weird scenarios.
I'll try. (In reply to comment #6)
As explained in comment #4 this works for me.
I reported this bug to improve quality of YaST2. I'm aware that my installation scenario wasn't standard and I usually see the map during installation as well. Closing as WORKSFORME is not helping. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Not mentioning such a special installation method does not help either!
Agreed, sorry about that.
Make sure supplements and recommends are handled by your installation method.
I believe that is the point of this report. zypper should handle supplements and recommends, shouldn't it? And I may have run `zypper in --no-recommends ...' - is that allowed to break dependencies? Could you stop closing this bug? I won't reopen it next time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

From discussion on IRC are two important facts:
- map is not required but recommended (so RPM dependencies _are_ correct) - 'Timezone map could not be found.' is not unhealthy report This means - not a bug. IMHO it is something between feature request or usability bug. So what to do about that? - nothing - change UI for corner case when not having map file (not worth of time) - change text to something less confusing and more assuring (for example "Timezone map picture not installed. Please set it manually using controls bellow.") -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
