https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=413093 Summary: Insufficient Performance and/or Bandwidth from Novell Update Server Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer Created an attachment (id=230617) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=230617) jpg screen capture of online updates timeouts and reasons I have made over 26 attempts at different points in time and date to install updates from the repository /download.opensuse.org/repositories/OpenOffice.org:/ without success. These file are potentially large and it would appear that there is insufficient performance and/or bandwidth on this server. It would appear that this repository sits on a different server as ALL other updates occur without error and some are particularly large in size. Date and time stamp on files is local GMT +10. The inability of any software, open or license, to update itself reflects poorly, not only on any CPU sponsor but the server O/S itself, as in this case the URL appears to come from your own servers. Screen Capture images compressed to avoid over 20 emails - Wish there was a 'do not send notification' on bugzilla attachments. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
