This seems to work if the protocol is changed from ftp:// to http://. This has been issue on all of my openSUSE 11.3 installs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Yast2 as superuser 2.Select "Software Repositories" 3.Select "Add" 4.Select "Community Repositores" and click "Next" 5.Check "NVIDIA Repository" and click "OK" Actual Results: "ERROR Adding repository NVIDIA Repository failed" Expected Results: NVIDIA repository is added succesfully Resolution: Change the repository URL to be "http://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.3/" instead of "ftp://download.nvidia.com/opensuse/11.3/" -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Whether and has sense to add a repository nvidia? Modules was builded for an old kernel and simply don't work with the last version.
This is simply wrong. Obviously you have no clue what you're talking about. Ever heard about kABI compatibility and making use of it by creating symlinks via our weak-updates mechanimsm?
