After completing work went in to "My computer" right clicked the usb device and requested a safe dismount. The USV stick was dismounted. When I went to remove the stick I noticed that it was still active. One hour later it is still active and unsafe to remove. I gather I have to shut the machine off to remove the usb stick. Somewhat inconvenient. Was it's light flashing? Whats the output from mount command after safe unmount?
