[Bug 184815] grub config file editing reverts other settings to default
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=184815 stefan.fent@novell.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID ------- Comment #3 from stefan.fent@novell.com 2006-10-16 05:56 MST ------- First of all, this is not supposed to work correctly, as you would need partitions that start on the same physical block on each device, this will probably fail anyways. (YaST can't do that for you, so you're on your own here) This is needed as the stage2 bootloader has some blocks hardcoded to find parts of itself, which will fail if the stage2 bootloaders reside on different blocks on each Harddisk. You can't get failsafe boot this way. The other issues are fixed meanwhile in openSUSE 10.2-alpha. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
