Some possible solutions: 1) Just wait till 11.0 comes out. Not very satisfying for you, but it's the easiest for me ;) 2) Revert the patch to glib2. Then our API and ABI will match upstream's. This would require unpatching other pieces of software that were patched to be consistent and buildable with glib2 as shipped in 10.3. And it may break other user-compiled binaries. These may end up breaking later when a user upgrades to 11.0, of course. 3) Update the docs as shipped with glib2, possibly with some comments explaining what happened with the API and ABI breakage. None of these is a very good solution, although I think 3 is the least bad.
