s2disk started ...
Hmm, could you try both vga=1 and no_console_suspend parameters and run this in console as root: # klogconsole -l 7 -r /dev/tty0 # s2disk -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

just tried pm-hibernate: same thing -- starts to suspend, and then it freezes at about 10% completed ... theo
I suppose with vga=1 parameter? 10 % with framebuffer enabled (graphic mode with splash/pictures) means point before freezing. If it dies in 10 % in text mode, then it is while reading/compressing memory pages. As this is "hibernate / suspend" bug, what happens with pm-suspend after klogconsole command and vga=1 parameter? Rafael, any ideas? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

and here it hand for 15 minutes
Great! Could you try vga=1 no_console_suspend together (and run klogconsole -l 7 -r /dev/tty0 before pm-hibernate)? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

s2disk: snapshotting system
Maybe a dumb question. Do you suspend remotely via serial or network? I wonder why you don't even see "Syncing filesystems ... ", "PM: Shrinking memory... ", "Suspending console(s)" (in case of no_console_suspend was not passed) and others on the console you are running pm-hibernate from. You should definitely see them after proper setting of kernel console by klogconsole. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
