After that, a usb sound card is plugged in. The sound card is detected correctly by alsa, but cannot be correctly accessed via pulseaudio. pulseaudio must be restarted (killall pulseaudio) before any sound client is started to correctly access the sound server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug in a additional soundcard after pulseaudio has been started 2. Start some audio or video. 3. The volume can't be changed with pavucontrol or other aid. Even pavucontrol crashes or the sound output stops and the sound / video application hangs. Actual Results: Soundoutput via additional soundcards cannot be handled without manually restarting pulseaudio. Expected Results: Pulseaudio should handle additional soundcards plugged in during a running pulseaudio server without manually intrusion. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
