Try to remove ~/.kde4/share/config/kmahjonggrc and ~/.config/kmahjonggrc and it should work.
Or open ~/.config/kmahjonggrc in a text editor and adjust the file paths accordingly. I.e. replace: Background_file=/usr/share/kde4/apps/kmahjongglib/backgrounds/default.desktop with: Background_file=/usr/share/kmahjongglib/backgrounds/default.desktop And so on... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

If it starts, there's no need to. The bug only affects the Layout_file setting actually (i.e. kmahjongg only hangs if this isn't found, the others it does load from the new location even if the path is wrong), and kshisen doesn't seem to use that so it is not affected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
