[Bug 1227908] auditd obsolete built-in options
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1227908 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1227908#c7 --- Comment #7 from Enzo Matsumiya <ematsumiya@suse.com> --- (In reply to Martin Loviska from comment #6)
Hi Enzo, any updates over here, please?
Not yet, sorry. There were several build problems in OBS; the most "tricky" (*) one currently is 'make check' fails for auparse -- its base results ("good" output) uses a hardcoded 'gdm' uid/gid '42' (because it was based on Fedora, I assume) so it fails for any openSUSE/SLE build either because the uid/gid is different, or because there's no 'gdm' user/group at all (e.g. server role). (*) it's tricky just because of a dilemma of choosing whether to: 1) skip only this particular test 2) skip the whole auparse test 3) try to make the test dynamic/adaptable for any distro/scenario (1) is the most simple, but would also skip testing parsing other fields (2) is undesirable because auparse is an important feature (3) most correct option, but would require much more time than I've already spent I'll try a few more approaches and choose the best, if easy to decide. Otherwise I'll simply run the tests on my own machine, but disable them in the spec file (at least for a few releases, until I find the best solution). I'm open to ideas, if someone ever hit a similar problem in other packages. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
