Since the I the messages above in /var/log/messages. I also reinstalled 11.3 from scratch. I checked with this and another hard drive of the same type with Windows and it worked too. I finally downloaded the opensuse 11.1 Live CD to verify and it worked again. I would expect something in the kernel. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot the machine 2. Plug the drive to the USB 3. check the /var/log/messages Actual Results: USB drive can not get mounted.
