Next combobox with devices is generated it means if boot device is valid (exist) it is again in list of devices (after reopen of y2-bootloader). Finally it was selected /dev/sda as boot custom (it is result of selected check box boot custom with empty device) and perl-Bootloader doesn't find it a it is cause of your problem with GRUB. It is not about deleting device from list -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I get this combobox as you described and I can deselect "Custom Boot". Everything is nice. But what I was trying to report happend during the installation. There I couldn't even unselect this "Custom Boot Partition" checkbox. Finally, I managed to have three entries in the edit box: `"/dev/sda", "/", "/dev/sd?"`. By navigating back from the overview screen shown before the installation of the packages starts, I got even the entry "/". BTW if you're looking at the logs, the installation happened on the 2nd of October. I may install M9 from scratch instead of just upgrading to be able to play one more time with the custom boot partition manager and to see if it's reproducible. But this would cost me quite a bit of time. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Fortunately the "Custom Boot Partition" behaves there buggy too: 1. Start the Bootloader Settings (Bootloader1.png) -> /dev/sda828060 2. Select /dev/sda from ComboBox. (Bootloader2.png) -> /dev/sda 6. Close Dialog by pressing OK. 4. Start Bootloader Settings again. (Bootloader3.png) -> /dev/sda828060 5. Deselect Checkbox (Bootloader4.png) 6. Close Dialog by pressing OK. 7. Start Bootloader Settings again. (Bootloader5.png) -> /dev/sdb828060 In Bootloader5.png at point 7 the checkbox is enabled automatically regardless the deselection in point 5. Even the entry in the edit box changed from /dev/sda8... to /dev/sdb.. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
