https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=412851 Summary: zypper always says "Downloading" even though package source is local filesystem Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: matt@genesi-usa.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Other Extremely minor Grammar Nazi Niggle.. ~~ Dandelion:~ # zypper in ./kernel-source-2.6.26-3.ppc.rpm Reading installed packages... The following package is going to be upgraded: kernel-source Overall download size: 53.1 M. After the operation, additional 3.6 M will be used. Continue? [YES/no]: yes Downloading package kernel-source-2.6.26-3.ppc (1/1), 53.1 M (266.6 M unpacked) Installing: kernel-source-2.6.26-3 [100%] ~~ Downloading is a bit misleading. Wouldn't "Retrieving" be better English for both local and downloaded packages alike? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

However, it does make me paranoid when I install an RPM locally, and it tells me it is downloading something. Retrieving makes most sense to be, in English, and works for all situations. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
