/usr/bin/chromium is a symlink that resolves to /usr/lib64/chromium/chrome-wrapper, passing that to gdb fails as well:
~> gdb -ex=r --args /usr/lib64/chromium/chrome-wrapper GNU gdb (GDB; openSUSE Tumbleweed) 12.1 Copyright (C) 2022 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
