The media in question is a USB-to-SATA stick with a 250gb m2. sata drive attached. The boot order is set to nvme first. If I remove the USB the computer fails to boot and returns to the bios boot menu after some attempts. The issue is not that it detects BIOS but that that I can't boot from the NVME.
