[Bug 734252] New: NetworkManager-plasmoid: User certificate must be set for TLS secured networks, but not necessary
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734252 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734252#c0 Summary: NetworkManager-plasmoid: User certificate must be set for TLS secured networks, but not necessary Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: alexanderroessler@aon.at QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.922.0 Safari/535.8 SUSE/17.0.922.0 When adding a new TLS secured network (wireless or wired) a user-certificate must be given, else the error "client-cert" appears. For some networks only a username is needed, so this message is quite useless, but stops you from adding the network. The same error occurs also on Kubuntu, so it is probably a bug in KDE4 itself. Workaround: create a new text-file and name it user.ca, use the empty user.ca and the network connects. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open KDE4 networkmanager and add a new network with TLS security (e.g.: WPA2-PSK enterprise) 2.leave the user certificate edit empty and click Ok -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

However openSUSE 12.1 is no longer supported and KDE4 NetworkManager changed drastically in the meantime. Therefor I close this report. Feel free to reopen if you can reproduce it with a more recent version. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
