While this tool provides measures to set up a mix of locales for various items it is rather confusing and probably not the tool of choice for the average user ( especially if coming from the MS Windows Environment ). I suggest adding a feature to YaST that lets users change all aspects of a chosen locale to their needs without digging into the inner workings of a Linux system. The people at OpenOffice ( see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332190 ) seem to reject the thought that there should be a means of tweaking the locale in their product as well. While I now have found a way to get what I want, I must insist that this is _absolutely_not_ user friendly. So whether you add the feature to YaST or OpenOffice takes care of it is really irrelevant, but somebody should really help the average user out of this catch22. Not sure how you communicate with upstream and/or other distros.
