Can you please compile this program (compilation instructions are in a comment in the source), run it, and attach its output to this bug? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=221337 ------- Comment #7 from federico@ximian.com 2006-11-16 09:57 MST ------- Thanks for the logs. It's definitely weird that those partitions are reported as user-visible. I wonder if this is only a problem on PowerPC, or if it's a more general problem with SCSI drives. The code in gnome-vfs2 which constructs the drives/volumes out of the information provided by HAL is a bit complex, and it's hard to figure out what happened just from the output of lshal. I'll give you a gnome-vfs2 package with some more logging information, but please wait a few days for it :) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Danny, after Beta1, 'lshal' reports volume.fsusage = 'filesystem' for all partitions. It didn't do this in Beta1 or before. This is what is causing Nautilus to show all partitions as desktop icons, even when they shouldn't be. KDE My Computer also shows the extra partitions in beta 2 and can't mount them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
