https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=271256 ------- Comment #12 from mhopf@novell.com 2007-05-10 08:16 MST ------- You may hit me, I'm blind. /dev/input/mice is a remultiplexed "device" that always speaks ExporerPS/2... But why did sax2 create the mouse section with MouseManPlusPS/2? Can you try once more a "sax2 -r" and check what driver is chosen (probably it's best to back up /etc/X11/xorg.conf before ;) ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

So a mouse section for this device (the default section) *always* has to use Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2". Either the user shouldn't be allowed to change the protocol, or it should be overridden. Luckily I haven't had many bug reports of this kind, apparently because mouse auto detection works reasonably well, so nobody actually touches these options :-] -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=271256 ------- Comment #18 from mhopf@novell.com 2007-05-14 08:57 MST ------- Actually, /dev/input/mice *always* has to use ExplorerPS/2. MouseManPlusPS/2 *does* work if you use /dev/psaux and the mouse is compatible to this protocol. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
