If I were to force installation of this version of perl-Mcrypt, about 200 packages would have to be downgraded. However, devel:/languages:/perl has /perl-Mcrypt-2.5.7.0-143.27.x86_64 which requires perl(:MODULE_COMPAT_5.26.1). This version installs with no drama and works fine in my application.
