[Bug 1072494] New: systemctl status fails with "Assertion 'p > 0' failed at src/journal/journal-file.c:2306, function test_object_offset(). Aborting."
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1072494 Bug ID: 1072494 Summary: systemctl status fails with "Assertion 'p > 0' failed at src/journal/journal-file.c:2306, function test_object_offset(). Aborting." Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: albertmichaelj@gmail.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I am not sure how long this has been going on, and I really don't know how to debug it, but for, at least, all of kernel 4.14, anytime I try to check the status on a service using "sudo systemctl status ..." I get the error message "Assertion 'p > 0' failed at src/journal/journal-file.c:2306, function test_object_offset(). Aborting." Otherwise, as far as I can tell, systemd seems to be working correctly, I just can't check the status on any service. I'm happy to provide any information that is helpful in diagnosing and fixing the problem. Thanks! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
