I tried jack2-1.9.4-18.4.x86_64.rpm and libjack2-1.9.4-18.4.x86_64.rpm ,from the following repository: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/plater/openSUSE_11.2/ No segfault of pulse was noticed, even after heavy use of jack and pulse daemons, for an extended period of time. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586134 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=586134#c5 --- Comment #5 from Christos Farinis <cfarinis@gmail.com> 2010-04-08 10:07:18 UTC --- I suggest updating jack to version 1.9.5 compiled with FFADO support.FFADO is a great improvement for firewire audio cards over the previous firewire friver(freebob). I successfully tested jackd 1.9.5(compiled from source rpm ) in conjuction with FFADO from this repository: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/phoe/openSUSE_11.2/x86_64/ff...) ,using an M-Audio firewire solo soundcard. Jackd works flawlessly with this setup(i had problems with all the other versions i tried),and the pulse audio modules "module-jack-sink" and "module-jack-source"(from OBS multimedia) are finally stable and usable. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
