http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1136878 Bug ID: 1136878 Summary: guestfs appliance missing netconfig for dhcp configuration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Virtualization:Tools Assignee: virt-bugs@suse.de Reporter: gmoro@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- guestfs supermin appliance is missing netconfig and that causes dhclient to not set /etc/resolv.conf correctly. To reproduce you just need to call a 'virt-rescue --network --scratch' and check there's no resolv.conf. The version of guestfs-tools is the same across all products, do you have a fix that works? (tried myself and could not get it right)
I added sysconfig-netconfig to the list of dependencies for supermin. I will trigger a rebuild of guestfs, and give the command you provided a try. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Hi, the problem is in the guestfs appliance, not in supermin, I did a fix https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/726961 I thought that it would somewhat detect what needs to be put in the appliance description automatically but it seems is build time generate the list of packages. This seems to be an upstream bug tho, we might want to forward the fix to upstream. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
