[Bug 982135] New: salt minion has different fingerprint and crashes
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=982135 Bug ID: 982135 Summary: salt minion has different fingerprint and crashes Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: mvetter@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 678741 --> http://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=678741&action=edit minion crash I installed salt-master on a server with Leap 42.1. Then installed salt-minion on Tumbleweed. I set the master and added it's fingerprint to the minion config. For some reason salt-call --local key.finger showed me a totally different key than I saw on the master with: salt-key -L I wondered why this was the case. I was aware that between the Leap and Tumbleed version they use different hashes but I set both to sha256 (one was md5). Also I regenerated all keys and cleared caches after this. Still I never see the same fingerprint running the above mentioned commands and dont see why. So I accept the key. The minion logs in but when I send the test command: salt '*' test.ping The minion crashes (see attached file). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
