[Bug 909838] New: zypper does not warn about insufficient disk space
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=909838 Bug ID: 909838 Summary: zypper does not warn about insufficient disk space Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp Assignee: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: bwiedemann@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Development Blocker: --- On a cloud VM with a 10GB disk using ext4, I tried zypper in chromium-debuginfo This said, it would need to download 500MB and use 2GB after install. However, the rootfs only has 300MB free and zypper did not even give a warning about the lack of free space. While there are certain difficulties in determining how much space will be needed when multiple partitions are used (e.g. / and /usr), but df /var/cache/zypp/packages/ should be easy enough. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
