[Bug 1008434] New: Add Panel - Default openSUSE Panel make system unresponsive
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1008434 Bug ID: 1008434 Summary: Add Panel - Default openSUSE Panel make system unresponsive Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: michael@actrix.gen.nz QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- While customising the Plasma desktop I accidentally elected to desktop right mouse -> Add Panel -> Default openSUSE Panel. The desktop session rapidly became very unresponsive and on switching to a text console I could see a lot of plasmashell --shut-up processes running and one of them had consumed all of my memory. After killing the sessions I could login, the memory use was stable, and I could removed the second panel. To see if it this issue was related to settings for my existing old login, I also tried the same thing while logged in as a user created by the installer. This had the same result. I've tried this on 42.2 RC1 and RC2. I have two monitors and I'm running the Nvidia proprietary driver. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
