But I think the consequence of removing root= unconditionally is also not something we can easily afford. It should be our last resort to this problem imho. I am currently discussing with trenn to see if any other better way around we can keep root=. I still think it should be treated as hint for dracut to find root partition and can be ignored if it already knows how.
