Hi Cliff,
without /dev/fb0, plymouth does not display the prompt for the encryption password. Could you help with debugging this problem?
Hi Dominique: Whether from bugzilla or openQA, there's no supportlog for this bug. Without this, I could not help with debugging. Could you please help with this?
Hi, what logs apart from those available at: (In reply to Dominique Leuenberger from comment #0)
openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-crypt_no_lvm@64bit fails in [boot_encrypt](https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4612221/modules/ boot_encrypt/steps/3)
would you need? (click "Logs & Assets" on the top) You can also reproduce this yourself as was noted: (In reply to Thomas Zimmermann from comment #6)
1) I set up a qemu system with bochs and disk encryption to simulate the test environment. ... 2c) If CONFIG_FB_DEVICE=n, plymouth does not display the password prompt. It appears to hang the system boot. No input is being accepted and the previous kernel messages are being displayed.
2c can be achieved by installing the kernel from: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/HEAD/standard/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
