People submitting changes through the backyard. It's now intended. I just submit from security:netfilter/iptables, because that is known to have a good and blessed state. Just to clarify, the security:netfilter project is not the devel-project for 12.2, but for factory. So the 12.2 package could contain e.g. backport-fixes, which are not needed in the devel-project. Fixes for the product have to base on the current sources of the package from the update-channel. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

But the 12.2 architecture fixes are independend of that, they are done after 12.2 has been branched to fix critical porting issues. So the maintenance update needs to cover the issues (in this or similar way) to avoid breakages with maintenance updates. The changes are done by Marcus, best would be if he submits a version to factory devel project independend of this maintenance update. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=791300 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=791300#c17 --- Comment #17 from Jan Engelhardt <jengelh@inai.de> 2012-12-19 16:54:39 CET --- What is this ArchPorts channel? Where can its content be viewed at? Last time I checked, shared library packaging policy recommendations did not require that *all* shlibs would have to be in their own package (à la Debian). In fact, there are no headers for libxt_ACCOUNT_CL.so.0 and I do not see any other program besides /usr/sbin/iptaccount in the distribution to use this library. This is why it has been in the same package as iptaccount and should remain there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The content is here: https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=openSUSE%3AMaintenance%3A12....
