Is it safe to apply compress=zstd even if I have already applied compress=lzo before? Do I need any command to change the compression algorithm?
Yes it is. (Worst can happen is grub not booting because of this bug.) You just have to change your btrfs mount option.
You can force recompression with `btrfs filesystem defragment -r -clzo /boot`.
