BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/fmtutil line 25. After re-implementing the softlinks fmtutil-sys runs just fine ... FYI only - and this problem would not have shown if I had not had tested ;-). Now without the two links mentioned above: fmtutil [INFO]: /var/lib/texmf/web2c/luajittex/luajitlatex.fmt installed. fmtutil [INFO]: Successfully rebuilt formats: 51 fmtutil [INFO]: Total formats: 51 fmtutil [INFO]: exiting with status 0 so things are fixed, thank you very much for the great support! So far my compilations of latex - code are working just fine with this early distribution ... Bug - report can finally be closed.
