http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1120849 Bug ID: 1120849 Summary: gbit USB adapter hang Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: rens.groenewegen@xs4all.nl QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- gbit usb adapter hangs when e.g. mounting a nfs filesystem. it only happens when plugged in to a external usb hub ( tried 2 different ones ) if it is plugged into usb3 port directly, it does not happen. I cannot manage to unload/reload, apparently the usb core gets stuck. ( plugging it in again does not get detected ) __________________________________________________________________________ kernel: 4.4.155-68-default __________________________________________________________________________ dmesg : [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] FS-Cache: Loaded [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 9295 at ../mm/slab.c:2600 cache_grow+0x1ca/0x270() [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] Modules linked in: nfs(+) lockd grace fscache ctr ccm hidp cmac ecb fuse rfcomm ext4 jbd2 mbcache ohci_hcd ehci_hcd uinput af_packet bnep vboxpci(O) vboxnetadp(O) hid_logitech hid_multitouch ff_memless hid_generic vboxnetflt(O) btusb btrtl cdc_ether btbcm usbnet r8152 mii btintel bluetooth uvcvideo crc16 videobuf2_vmalloc videobuf2_memops videobuf2_v4l2 videobuf2_core v4l2_common videodev usbhid vboxdrv(O) cpufreq_stats msr nls_utf8 isofs loop nls_iso8859_1 nls_cp437 arc4 vfat fat intel_rapl x86_pkg_temp_thermal intel_powerclamp coretemp kvm_intel kvm irqbypass crct10dif_pclmul crc32_pclmul ghash_clmulni_intel snd_hda_codec_hdmi snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_codec_generic drbg ansi_cprng snd_hda_intel iwlmvm asus_nb_wmi iTCO_wdt snd_hda_codec iTCO_vendor_support asus_wmi sparse_keymap [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] snd_hda_core [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] mac80211 snd_hwdep snd_pcm aesni_intel snd_timer aes_x86_64 lrw gf128mul glue_helper ablk_helper cryptd joydev pcspkr i2c_i801 intel_pch_thermal snd iwlwifi lpc_ich mfd_core cfg80211 soundcore mei_me rfkill mei processor_thermal_device shpchp int340x_thermal_zone intel_soc_dts_iosf battery thermal wmi acpi_als kfifo_buf ac fjes industrialio int3400_thermal acpi_thermal_rel acpi_pad processor sunrpc xfs libcrc32c sd_mod uas usb_storage crc32c_intel xhci_pci xhci_hcd usbcore ahci usb_common libahci serio_raw i915(O) i2c_algo_bit drm_kms_helper(O) syscopyarea sysfillrect sysimgblt fb_sys_fops libata drm(O) video button sg scsi_mod efivarfs autofs4 [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] CPU: 1 PID: 9295 Comm: modprobe Tainted: G O 4.4.155-68-default #1 [Sat Jan 5 17:57:25 2019] Hardware name: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
