Some additional notes: (I helped to debug this) - the log was created as described on https://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/Debugging/#index2h1 in the "Shutdown Completes Eventually" section - when booting a recovery system (I tried with a ~3 months old Tumbleweed DVD image on an USB stick), the system _does_ switch off when using "poweroff -p" - we were able to get the system switched off once with "poweroff -p", but this was not reproducable. (Thinking about it - maybe we did "rcxdm stop" before that successful "poweroff -p" - Günter, can you please test that?)
I have tested with openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Build0003. I booted the "Rettungssystem" and "poweroff -p" was successful! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

That does not work. The system does not power off. I have tested with openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Build0003. I booted the "Rettungssystem" and "poweroff -p" was successful! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
