[Bug 297727] New: sed segfaults for address of type "every nth line"
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=297727 Summary: sed segfaults for address of type "every nth line" Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: daniel.hornung@ds.mpg.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer sed (version 4.1.4) segfaults for address of type "every nth line", i.e. with the ~ address expression, on a fully patched x86_64 Suse 10.1 system. Steps to reproduce: =================== Execute in an interactive shell:
sed -n '0~5p'
and try to type 1 2 3 4 5 Expected result: ================ 1 2 3 4 5 5 Actual result: ============== 1 Segmentation fault sed being one of the core utils, i rated this bug critical, if it can be reproduced on other systems. Here I could confirm it on another Suse 10.1 box, but not on an Ubuntu system. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
