Mistakenly, I recalled the install of mysql-gui-tools pulling in mysql-administrator, mysql-query-browser and mysql-workbench as dependencies making for a complete install of mysql-gui-tools. However, the dependencies only operate in reverse. For example, if you install any one of mysql-administrator, mysql-query-browser of mysql-workbench, them mysql-gui-tools are supplied as a proper dependency. However if you install just the gui-tools, nothing but the gui-tools are installed. The gui-tool package is just the artwork (.png files, etc). The gui-tools don't do anyone much good unless the actual tools are installed. Installing mysql-gui-tools should trigger the dependencies to install mysql-administrator, mysql-query-browser and mysql-workbench.
