All subsequent new tabs also trigger window resizing (still larger). Additionally, after the third tab, all tab switching events trigger similar window resizing. You may try replicating with a different font. I'm using "DejaVu Sans Mono". Does it go away if you alter the default profile?
Yes, but only on subsequent runs of gnome-terminal. Without touching the default profile the bug remains.
