I launched firefox 21 and get a bunch of messages with many looking like errors. Which of these do I pay attention to and most of all, why are they not going off into a log file? Many of these look similar to messages I see on firefox's internal console -- it's internal log. if I launch FF from a console window on Windows, I see no messages in the window I launch from -- as they are all FF messages they go into FF's log. But some of these messages look like they are coming from system libs that FF uses. Shouldn't those be going off into a system log somewhere? Which of these are real errors (the one labeled "critical"?) and how should they be fixed? Certainly this isn't normal function for starting a browser, very few users would have any clue about what these messages are about. None of them seem to tell me why my browser no longer connects to the internet (which it used to do last month). I have also tried setting them to the squid proxy on the same host (which I would prefer) but that doesn't work either. The first message that comes out above seems very odd. It's asserting that the sys_page_size should be 0 and that fails? It seems very odd that it would want a 0-length sys-page-size, OR that it would get one. Note... even when things are working, it still spews a bunch of those messages out on the starting terminal... Not capturing those somewhere seems wrong -- many of them seem like debug messages? -- but messages that would still go in a log somewhere? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. login remotely using a console or tty window and ssh; Since this is a closed network, DISPLAY=<remotehost>:0 , (i.e. doesn't get redirected through the ssh-session to go through another encrypt-decrypt cycle). 2. start firefox from the console window -- I was able to just type firefox. 3.
