https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=644489 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=644489#c0 Summary: kile scrolls extremely slow Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: anke@boernig.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.10) Gecko/20100914 SUSE/3.6.10-0.3.1 Firefox/3.6.10 When using kile the editor window gets really, really slow after some time. Scrolling only works in slow-motion, when typing every letter needs about 1-2 seconds till it appears, saving a file takes about 30 seconds or longer. This only happens after some time, when closing kile and starting it new everything works fine for some time. After searching for this error in google, I found the information that the composite-system in KDE seems to slow down kile. The solution there was to use "Alt+Shift+F12" to deactivate the composite systems - and this works for me. After using this key-combination, everything in kile works fast again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start kile. 2. Open a document. 3. Edit document for some time. 4. Try to save document. Actual Results: After using kile to edit a file for some time, input gets very, very slow, when typing letters appear very slowly one after the other, saving the documents takes a lot of time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
