[Bug 1165418] New: Kernel 5.5.6-1 fails to properly suspend on a Dell Precision 5530
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1165418 Bug ID: 1165418 Summary: Kernel 5.5.6-1 fails to properly suspend on a Dell Precision 5530 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel Assignee: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: dcermak@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- After upgrading to the newest kernel (5.5.6-1) from the stable Tumbleweed repository, I noticed that my laptop was abnormally warm when suspended and after waking it up from sleep the battery was nearly drained. The machine was suspended at around 1am and woken up around 11am, this usually costs about 10-20% battery time in deep sleep, but this time the battery was at 4%. The system log shows the following entry lines shortly after closing the lid: Mar 02 01:04:56 Boreas systemd-sleep[6615]: Suspending system...
