If you try to change a language, checkboxes should get activated if there's a possibility they would really cause a change. German layout is already set - and when I switch to another language, the checkboxes are activated. But showing inactive checkboxes is some kind of confusing... So I suggest: Neither don't disable the checkboxes in this case - just hind them - and/or enhance the helptext, so people understand why these checkboxes are not usable. So I suggest: Neither don't disable the checkboxes in this case - just hind them - and/or enhance the helptext, so people understand why these checkboxes are not usable.
Enhancing help text might be a good option.
Other option: move the checkboxes to the detailed view?
