[Bug 219371] New: Bluetooth device GNOME support needs many icons in tray area
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=219371 Summary: Bluetooth device GNOME support needs many icons in tray area Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: All OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sbrabec@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de This is not actually a bug, but only an usability issue: In SuSE Linux 10.2, complete Bluetooth support needs two userspace daemons and two icons in the tray area: These two are required: - bt-applet as a PIN key agent - gnome-obex-server as a server for file transfers And even having both of them, you still cannot do some things using GUI (e. g. make computer visible to other devices). In ideal state, one daemon should control everything needed for Bluetooth support, and additionally control more Bluetooth aspects. FYI: These two icons are optional: - gnome-phone-manager to manage mobile phone - multisync/opensync to manage data synchronization To have complete control over mobile phone, you need four icons in the tray area. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
