No nm-applet after update to 12.1. No org.freedesktop.networkmanager.service... Or something to that effect... So the applet is closed and networking is shut off... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

1) Was it in the system tray in the 11.4 install?
yes
2) What KDE version was on the 11.4 install?
4.6.0
3) How do you start it from the kicker menu?
by searching for 'networkmanager' in the start menu
4) Can you add it to the system tray by clicking the expand triangle, System Tray settings, Extra Items, Network management?
Indeed, that works. Strange enough, when I have the WLAN USB stick attached during boot time, I'm not able to establish a connection at all... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

As the applet was standard in 11.4 too, you must have been using KNM by choice, therefore this isn't an upgrade bug that I can do something about - just adding the applet blindly to the panel on upgrade would annoy people who don't use NetworkManager or who prefer nm-applet. @Rick Opper: Please open a separate bug for that assigned to GNOME. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
