Takashi, do you know when the openSUSE 11.3 update kernel with the intel fixes will be available?
Sorry, no idea. Should be together with other fixes in stable kernel (currently 2.6.34.4), and the release also depends on the security fixes. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I have a netbook (acer aspire one 250D) with an "Intel 945 GME". After updating to kernel 2.6.34.4-0.1-desktop I got a new error that I haven't got before. I get this error only - since updating to 2.6.34.4 - with an external monitor attached, don't get it without external monitor - with kernel-modeset, I don't get it with nomodeset and the intellegacy driver. How to reproduce: attach an external monitor, start. Enter username and password at the login screen. Start of kde hangs at about 80%, although the computer is still running, there is access of the disk and the login-sound is playing. If I kill kde with <CTRL>-<ALT>-<BSP> an log in a second time, everything works. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It happens every time after a cold boot. After the login screen the screen freezes displaying the openSUSE chameleon with progress bar frozen at ~80% but the login sound plays and the computer appears to be running. Pressing Atl Ctrl Backspace gets you back to the login screen but only if you do it within a minute or two of the screen freezing otherwise there is no response from the keyboard. The problem appeared after the last update to the latest kernel 2.6.34.7-0.3-desktop but I also updated KDE and other system files at the same time so cannot say it what may have caused it.
