http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558542 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558542#c0 Summary: invalid characters in label Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@novell.com ReportedBy: joerg.dippel@gmx.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Changing the label of an existing openSuSE 11.1 entry a popup notifies that the identifier contains invalid characters "Der Name enthält nicht erlaubte Zeichen". Here is an example from the configfile: ###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: openSUSE 11.1 - 2.6.27.7-9 (/dev/sdb7)### title openSUSE 11.1 - Apache (sdb7) root (hd1,6) configfile /boot/grub/menu.lst This example is after writing the configuration using openSuSE 11.2. The invalid character seems to be the "/" in the device name. If that character is removed the config can be written. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It is added to trunk. of course "ä" is also "invalid" characters... there were some bugs which talk about problems if menu.lst includes special chars. It is cause why was added checking if name includes any special char. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
