[Bug 847346] New: Apper: License agreement not accepted (when there's more than one?)
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847346 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=847346#c0 Summary: Apper: License agreement not accepted (when there's more than one?) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: wbauer@tmo.at QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux) KHTML/4.11.2 (like Gecko) Konqueror/4.11 SUSE Today I tried to update my 13.1RC1 system using Apper (last updated on Oct 15th) but it failed: First I get a dialog about "License required for openSUSE by openSUSE" (LICENSE AGREEMENT® 13.1). If I click on "Accept Agreement" I just get: "The license agreement was not agreed to. To use this software you have to accept the license." Details: "You've to agree/decline a license" (Of course I also get a "Restart needed for glibc" popup even before that, but that's another bug, already reported AFAIK) Strange enough, after a few times trying this (failing every time) and then choosing "Cancel", I suddenly only got a license agreement for flash-player. But I can't reproduce this, after cancelling that I only ever got the first one about openSUSE. I tried to run "pkcon update" and this seemed to work: it showed me 3 license agreements, one after the other (openSUSE, flash-player, and fluendo-mp3), and continued to download the updates. I killed packagekitd then though, to be able to still reproduce the original problem. But at least it proceeded further than Apper. I have a suspicion this is caused by having to agree to three licenses at a time. I never had this problem when there was only a flash-player update, but I remember something similar in earlier versions as well (problems when there was more than one license agreement at the same time). I even think I remember a bugreport about this, but cannot find it. I didn't install any of the updates yet, so I can still try to investigate, but please tell me what to try. I did already enable all debug output in kdebugdialog, but there's nothing to be seen there. I did already enable all debug output in kdebugdialog, but there's nothing to be seen there. Actually, debug output for apper was still disabled somehow, sorry. I really enabled it now and got this when accepting the license: apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: 1 22 apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotErrorCode: errorCode: 34 "You've to agree/decline a license" apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: 5 22 apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: finished KeyRequired or EulaRequired: 5 apper(3026) PkTransaction::acceptEula: Accepting EULA "openSUSE" apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: 1 24 apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotErrorCode: errorCode: 34 "You've to agree/decline a license" apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: 5 22 apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: finished KeyRequired or EulaRequired: 5 apper(3026) PkTransaction::slotFinished: Not Handling Required Action apper(3026) PkTransaction::setExitStatus: 1 apper(3026)/kdeui (KNotification) KNotificationManager::close: 6 apper(3026) PkTransaction::setExitStatus: 1

Only problem: now I get a "License rejected" popup immediately, even before the license is accepted or rejected. Accepting the licenses and installing the packages works though. I just tried again with the original 13.1 apper package and that popup appears
