[Bug 590555] New: Dual Head + krandrtray + KDE4: switching off second monitor, popup window which ask for accepting monitor settings shows on disabled monitor
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=590555 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=590555#c0 Summary: Dual Head + krandrtray + KDE4: switching off second monitor, popup window which ask for accepting monitor settings shows on disabled monitor Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: tomasz.gawlowski@s4.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; pl-PL; rv:1.9.2.0) Gecko/20100115 SUSE/3.6.0-1.2 Firefox/3.6 Using laptop in work with in dual monitor setup. Second monitor is on the right of first monitor. No cloning. When I try to disable second monitor with krandtray (I placed the "Screen Settings" on first monitor), then second monitor becomes inactive but popup window which ask user for accepting new screen settings is not shown on first (active) screen (probably is placed in inactive screen) and i can't reach it with mouse to confirm new settings. After 15 seconds, the previous configuration is restored and second screen again appears. Also the "Screen Settings" windows is automaticaly moved to second monitor while disabling second screen. This causes that I cannot disable second monitor without server restart. Problem occurs in 11.2 and in 11.2 with kde 4.4. As a workaround before disabling second monitor I set monitors in cloning mode. Then popup window is displayed properly on last active screen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup dual head, disable cloning, 2. Open screen settings and put this window in screen which you dont intend to disable 3. Disable second screen Expected Results: I expect that after disabling any screen, the popup window which ask for confirmation of new settings will be moved to still enabled screen, so I can click with mouse and accept new settings. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
