[Bug 647339] New: Chart Area always displayed with KDE "View Background" colour
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=647339 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=647339#c0 Summary: Chart Area always displayed with KDE "View Background" colour Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: bnc-team-ooo@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: psychonaut@nothingisreal.com QAContact: cwei@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=395399) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=395399) System Settings dialog in KDE 4 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.13) Gecko/20100914 SUSE/2.0.8-24.1 SeaMonkey/2.0.8 The background of all charts in OpenOffice.org documents is that of the KDE 4.x "View Background" colour, even when the actual Chart Area fill colour is set to something else. (However, when printing or exporting to PDF, the actual Chart Area fill colour is used.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. To make the problem more noticeable, first select a colour scheme with a conspicuous View Background. In KDE 4, this would be via System Settings->Application Appearance->Colors->Colors->View Background. Set it to something obviously non-white, such as dark grey or red. Then hit Apply. See attached file systemsettings.png. 2. Launch Calc and create a chart, or open an existing Calc or Writer document containing a chart. The chart's background will be the same colour as the system View Background. See attached file chart.ods and screenshot chart.png. 3. Double-click on the chart to start editing it. The toolbar will show a button "Format Selection" next to a drop-down box. Select "Chart Area" from the drop-down box and click "Format Selection". Go to the Area tab. The Fill tab will probably claim that the fill colour is already set to White, though this is contradicts what is actually shown. Selecting another fill colour and hitting OK has no effect on the appearance of the chart. This bug was reported on the OpenOffice.org bug tracker at http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=115082. The feedback was that this bug is not a problem with the vanilla OpenOffice.org distribution, but rather specific to the KDE integration module contributed by openSUSE. The problem can be supressed by suppressing the KDE integration module, i.e., by launching OpenOffice.org as follows: $ SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen /usr/bin/oocalc -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
