https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=820780 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=820780#c0 Summary: KDE 4.10.2 updates breaks the passwd prompt after resume. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: i@marguerite.su QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/28.0.1500.11 Safari/537.36 In KDE 4.10, I can suspend to disk and resume, KDE will give me a passwd prompt, after entering passwd and hitting ok, There'll be a black object with lights on screen borders filling my full screen for a second then the plasma desktop appears. In KDE 4.10.2(openSUSE-2013-353), KDE doesn't give me the passwd prompt at all, and this black object is made permanent. I can't do anything but switch to tty1 and init3/init5 back. in `journalctl --since today` and dmesg there's nothing special, they just told me the suspend/resume is successful. and in .xsession-errors there're a lot of messages: http://paste.opensuse.org/33413810 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install openSUSE-2013-353 updates and restart 2. after restart, suspend to disk/memory 3. resume Actual Results: no passwd prompt. a black object blocking me from visiting my desktop Expected Results: let me enter passwd and continue using my desktop -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
