Sometimes, when I do operations like 'git log' and quit by q keystroke, git sleeps infinitely. I cannot kill it by TERM or INT, I have to use KILL.
$ cat /proc/15295/stack [<0000000000000000>] futex_wait_queue_me+0xca/0x140 [<0000000000000000>] futex_wait+0x105/0x270 [<0000000000000000>] do_futex+0x136/0x5c0 [<0000000000000000>] SyS_futex+0x6f/0x160 [<0000000000000000>] system_call_fastpath+0x16/0x75 [<0000000000000000>] 0x7fed69200bfb [<0000000000000000>] 0xffffffffffffffff $ strace -fp 15295 Process 15295 attached futex(0x7fed694aab20, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 2, NULL
I see it for a month or two now. Is this a kernel or git issue?
hmm that stack could suggest a missing wakeup, a problem we certainly had upstream, but that was over 2 years ago. So any 4.1 based kernel will have stable futex codebase by now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
